We had a blast showing the America’s Best Restaurants crew around, and letting them see firsthand just how great Bob's Bar & Grill is!

Fun Fact! Both Bryce and I (Britney) were raised by hardworking small business owners who didn't take shortcuts. In both cases, the quality of our parents' work always came above the quantity. That same work ethic is what we bring to The Bungalow. Could we take shortcuts? Sure. Will we? Absolutely not. We genuinely care about our guests and strive to provide the best experience, every time ❤

OUR STORY! Many of you know us as The Bungalow vacation home but did you know how our story began? Read below!

Local contractor, Ben Taylor, and his wife, Courtney Taylor, had the opportunity to save an abandoned home from its original location in the Rottunda Way development (South Sioux City). The owners at the time wanted to build a new home in its place so Ben and Courtney jumped at the chance and were successfully able to relocate the home to its current spot in Ponca, Nebraska. A spacious basement was created and the original structure was remodeled from the inside out!

Meanwhile, Bryce Book, Ponca native, and his wife, Britney Book, had been searching for the perfect property to kickstart their dream of owning a vacation home. When they found out about Ben and Courtney's project, they knew it was meant to be! Bryce's grandmother (Betty Stark) previously lived two houses over from the home and Britney's great grandmother (Agnes Kneifl Long) previously lived five houses over. The rest, as they say, is history! On January 20, 2023, Bryce and Britney closed on The Bungalow and spent the following three weeks preparing the home for its first Airbnb guests. One year later, they are still happily welcoming guests from all over the U.S.A. ☺

A special thank you to Ben and Courtney for saving this beautiful home and bringing it back to life! Bryce and Britney are incredibly grateful for their vision and are overjoyed that they helped them make their dream a reality ❤ Here's to embracing our past, and striving for a brighter future!

✨Bedroom Feature✨

The lower level of The Bungalow includes two bedrooms. While both rooms are nearly identical, the "Gold" room is the larger of the two. It features a queen size bed, full closet, and a large egress window (hello, natural light!). There's plenty of room to move around so the closet is equipped with our baby pack n' play!

Additionally, directly outside of this room is our designated kids zone so many of our guests opt to have older kids - or families sharing a room with young kids - stay down here.
