Fishin’ with a Mission®

Fishin’ with a Mission® We connect you to fishin' expeditions with humanitarian missions (giving back, helping others). Big Fish. Big Hearts. Five days of fishin'.

One day of mission. [Or visa versa]. Call a trusted outfitter at the AddVenture® Center. 877.921.3474. Fishin' with a Mission®

We take you to the most pristine places in the world to catch big fish. Oftentimes, these locations are in super remote places with minimal resources. As part of your trip, you have the opportunity to add a humanitarian mission to your adventure expedition. The mission is

structured, yet varies (by design) from trip to trip. The key to its success is your dedication to learning from the local families first, then, following up with action. It is unlike anything you'll ever experience. You will have the opportunity to truly influence your life and the lives of others in a meaningful and impactful way. Your Mission:

Based on the guidelines below, your mission is to personally meet local families, learn from them, and take action on inspiration. Program Guidelines (Learn, Care, Act):

Over the past years we have developed some guidelines for sustainable local and international development. Here are the 10 truths (or guidelines) for sustainable development:

1. To learn, to care, and to act are the guiding principles of sustainable development.
2. Long-lasting impact comes through friendship and one-to-one relationships.
3. People are inspired to take action when they truly listen, observe, learn, and understand.
4. The act of giving becomes enduring and sustainable when all individuals and cultures involved feel like they are both the giver and the receiver.
5. It is unwise to do for [others] what they can do for themselves (Flynn, 2010).
6. Buy-in comes through local leadership; ongoing support comes from the community; funding and resources come from everyone.
7. Positive change requires patience and persistence.
8. Wisdom comes from making mistakes; correcting them; sharing them; and staying on task.
9. Sustainability increases when local leadership, training, accountability, and self-sufficiency are maximized.
10. Development is fun, rewarding, and challenging. Our Vision:

We create an adventurous atmosphere where you can inspire, or be inspired; thrill, or be thrilled; change, or be changed, for the better.

Imagine yourself sitting on the front of a small river boat with binoculars around your neck, a fishing rod at your side, and a camera within arms-distance grasp...

At any given moment and at every new bend in the river, you are only second away from capturing your own Amazon experience.
