I just made my day. 😍 I have a lovely couple that stay at my Airbnb from time to time for their getaway. Today, I gave them a gift certificate towards their next stay. You should’ve seen their faces light up! And now, my heart is lit. ❤️🔥

Giving to others feel so good whether it’s a small gift, help with something they need done, or an unexpected gesture of love and connectedness. ❤️

Being able to receive gifts is also a gift. For years, I had a hard time receiving or asking for help. But during a period when I was having a major surgery, one of my friends asked me if I liked to help people. I said, of course! Then she said, when you don’t allow others to help you, you are depriving them of that good feeling. It totally changed my perspective on being able to ask for and receive help.

Plus, where do we get that BS idea that needing help is a weakness? Asking for help is actually a strength. And a way to connect with others. Human beings are not meant to live lonely, solo lives. We are meant to connect with and help one another. ❤️❤️

Who can you gift or help today? A Neighbor? A stranger? Yourself?

Happy Valentines weekend! ❤️Love is in the air! I have a new guest in my Airbnb each night this weekend. I added a few extra touches for their romantic getaway. The gentleman coming tonight has ordered flowers that will be delivered before they arrive so I can put them in the apartment. So sweet & thoughtful! ❤️❤️
