As early as April 18, Disney will start reintroducing traditional character greetings at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, as well as aboard Disney Cruise Line and at Aulani Resort in Hawaii. Very soon, Guests will once again be able to hug Mickey Mouse, get an autograph from Mulan, and share a laugh with Goofy!!

Many of you have missed these special moments; I promise, your Disney character friends have missed you, too!

While not all locations will be available immediately, Disney anticipates reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer.

Exciting news!!! Beginning tomorrow, April 8, 2021, Disney will allow you to remove your mask for those MAGICAL photos!!

Here is the official release from Disney:

Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members, including those who have received a COVID-19 vaccine. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming. You may temporarily remove your face covering while actively eating, drinking or taking an outdoor photo*, but you must be stationary and maintain appropriate physical distancing during this time. (*Beginning April 8)

While this may be a small step; it’s definitely a step in the right direction!!!
