We love the new folks over at the Portuguese Bakery, and we are so glad they are maintaining tradition!

Bonus: the bakery is almost directly across the street! Get there early for a Pasteis de Nata breakfast or after 1:30pm for some fresh malasadas.

Stroll by the Portuguese Bakery in Provincetown one morning, and you can’t help but stop and peer through the window and into a deep fryer where globs of dough are bathing in hot oil. Aside from being centrally located on Commercial Street, one of our favorite things is our proximity to the Bob Gasoi Memorial Art Alley.

Just enter the archway to find a whole world of art and literary references. A few steps more to the end of the alley, and you find The Salty Mariner!

Cozy year round!

Fireplace by local artist Conrad Malicoat, a child of Provincetown Artist Colony members Philip and Barbara Malicoat and beloved Ptown resident.

His incredible work can be found at several spots in town, including here at the Salty Mariner.
