I've been watching my YouTube videos for the first time ever. I've been watching rockhounding, gemology and geology videos for 3 years so I have plenty to compare to and I'm honestly impressed with my collection. I don't really ever think about it but now that I've watched these I feel compelled to share the best ones on my personal page so that more people can see it. To be clear, I'm not trying to sell them I just know that Colorado is underrepresented and underrated mineralogically which is ironic since we rank number two in the United States for mineral diversity and occurrences.

The videos I post to this page represent the best of the 72 videos I've uploaded to my YouTube channel, Manifest Minerals . I welcome your candid feedback. Note: all mineral specimens were collected at Manifest Ranch Colorado unless otherwise indicated. In addition, 75 to 80% of my collection glows strongly under long wave UVA fluorescence which is extremely rare as only 10 to 15% of all minerals will have a UV reaction under the Long Wave light where is 85% of minerals will glow under shortwave light which is impractical, expensive and dangerous. Just want to raise awareness so that when you see fluorescent rocks online you know to check the frequency of the light source. Minerals should be lighted with 365nm long wave UV-A light for long wave reactions.

Enjoy the comforts of home in the serenity of nature with exclusive access to the 120 acre ranch. That's right, there's only one site by design to offer the ultimate City escape with total privacy! It's a quick trip at an hour and a half from Colorado Springs and two and a half to three hours from Denver, depending on your location. It's turnkey and you'll never run out of things to do on site. However, it's only 6 miles (about a 15-minute drive) to several trails with lake access at the Pueblo Reservoir Wildlife Area. If you want to fish a little or swim a little you can drive right down to a parking lot that hosts five trails I know of that are short and easy and take you to your own special parts of the lake.
Here's what awaits at your new favorite nature escape....
An ultra large and durable, covered, tent with a wrap around patio and outdoor furniture. Inside you'll enjoy a very comfortable high quality king bed with heated mattresses for cool nights. Plus, there's a double need sized cot and another cot you can set up too. Your beds are freshly made with clean sheets and plenty of extra pillows, blankets, sleeping bags and more in case you have family or friends with an RV (we have an RV pad with electrical hookup) or their own tents. There's about 35 acres on top of the first hillside with hundreds of great spots for tent camping. We also have a brand new queen air mattress and two brand new extra large, plush cots with plenty of bedding to accommodate extra guests.

Here's more about what's in store.... . There's a stone fire pit built by campers with rocks from the ranch (so cool!) about 24 ft from your tent with mountain views. In fact panoramic Mountain views are a Hallmark feature of Manifest Ranch.
"Contemplation Point" trail begins at your fire pit and isn't very long. It takes you to a lookout viewpoint with unbelievable panoramic views of the wet mountains, the San Isabel mountains and Pikes Peak! Beautiful multi-dimensional sunsets are nearly guaranteed and can be seen from your patio or the two person hammock in the shade.

If you're a cyclist or a hiker, there's a single truck walking trail that starts right across from your campsite winds you down the first hillside or a double track trail that takes you down Old highway 96
Another favorite feature which should excite hikers and cyclers are the extraordinary lush forested Foothills with double track, interconnected and groomed trails that run across the property and multiple directions whether you choose to go around the mountains or want the challenge of up and over, we've got you covered with about 8 Miles of trails one way all the way to the back of the property where the view will take your breath away! For those seeking a more relaxed experience, the interconnected trails all around your campsite and the upper 35 acres of the property will give you the same forested features and stunning Mountain views without having to work too hard, you simply got nothing to lose!!!!

Do you like amenities? We've got plenty......

✓ A spacious grilling patio with table and chairs and boasting a deluxe, double decker, propane grill with a large side stove. We provide all of the grilling utensils, spices, silverware and plates plus serving dishes, pitchers, cups in various sizes as well as pots and pans. I'm a huge fan of power wash spray for hand washing or pre-washing dishes, I provide the power wash, bins for washing dishes and the faucet for running water is available conveniently close by.
✓ Outdoor games! Built-in horseshoe pits right next to the grilling patio, two co****le boards and bags and bocce ball are all provided. In the lawn between the grilling patio and the faucet is a really cool”water park” for hot days. I'm not sure how he did it but Steve created several places along a hose which spray in many directions with just the perfect amount of pressure.
✓ An outdoor hot & cold shower off of the grill patio!
✓ Just around the corner from the grill patio is an extra large fire pit with seating and a trail
✓ to the open air, extremely spacious wood log cabin type restroom facilities.

I'm sure I forgotten some amenities and activities but feel free to ask for more information as you plan your first trip to your new favorite vacation destination.

Special note: The landscape is covered with fossils, complex mineral specimens and gem quality stones. I have a finder's keepers policy so keep your eyes peeled for crystal collectibles of your own:)

The water level is so high this year from the extraordinary amount of rain that we had an exciting opportunity to see the variety of rocks, minerals and fossils that reside at the bottom of this pretty big lake (for Colorado it's a good size!:)

Hey fellow rockstars, I'm just checking in as a geek out on a Saturday night. I haven't delved in to this promising resource but in my experience handbooks are great tools to have in your arsenal.
Since I refuse to do a website at this time, it seems overwhelming and daunting and just hurts my mind, I'm going to use my Facebook group Colorado Rocks and my page Manifest Minerals to share educational resources and other helpful information. I'm a Certified Gemologist and have been studying Colorado mineralogy full time for 3 years so perhaps I can help provide the tools you need to Kickstart your rock-hounding journey and help you succeed.
