We can’t get over how good the produce is in upstate NY! When we were there last weekend, we got corn every night we were there. Perfection. And the best part is, you can buy it at stands right along the roads! We always buy extra tomatoes and zucchini to bring home with us! And we found a spot just a few minutes away to buy fresh eggs too!

Did you know that there is a concert venue less than 10 minutes from our cottage?!?! It’s called Point of the Bluff: https://concertsatpob.com/lineup/

The venue is terrific! We went this past weekend to see the fabulous Indigo Girls (one of my personal favs). There are a few more shows this season. I’ll post about it next spring so you can plan a stay at the cottage to coincide with a concert!

Apparently our spot is one of the best on the lake for fishing! During a recent bass fishing tournament, there were many boats parked out right in front of our cottage. Our son thought he’d give it a try, and using the only pole we had available (a Disney princess toddler pole!), he caught several fish, including this nice bass! 🐟🎣😂

Keuka Lake has a special place in our hearts. Ethan spent many years living on Keuka year-round as a teenager and developed a passion for boating. Since marrying and moving out-of-state to Maryland, we’ve been sure to spend time on Keuka every summer and have been happy to pass on our love of this special place to our own kids. We have been looking to purchase a home here for almost a decade, and we couldn’t be happier with this cottage and location! We named this place West Neck Cottage after the summer cottage community where Rebecca’s Grandfather lived when she was a child (West Neck Circle in Southampton, NY-- her grandfather and 3 of his brothers all owned cottages there!) It’s the spirit of that place that we want this cottage to be-- a place for enjoying and appreciating the water, connecting with nature and with the people you care about... less time on technology, and more time lingering on the patio telling stories or playing games together on the screen porch.
