We’ll meet in DuBois on the evening of 26 June for a briefing and gear check. Up early the next morning for our hike from the trailhead to our first camp site. Day 2 we hike close to the boulder field and base of the glacier. Day 3 we’ll be up in the dark, hitting the scree climb near dawn and reaching Gannett’s summit by midday and avoiding afternoon thunderstorms. Back down to camp, where we pack up and hike back to the night 1 campground. Day 4 we hike out to thee trailhead.
This is NOT a trip for inexperienced hikers and climbers. We’ll be in Grizzly country, crossing streams flowing with snow melt, camping out in a remote wilderness, and will climbing/traversing multiple glaciers
Climbing in late June avoids crevasses on this route that open in summer, making it a much safer trip!
Thanks to Mike Clendenen for the amazing video from last year! 100% of our group made the summit.
The first Dash Adventures summit marriage proposal!!
On the volcano crater rim of Orizaba at 18,491 feet, Mexico’s highest point and the highest volcano and 3rd highest peak in North America.
This part of Mexico holds special meaning to Taylor, as he lived in the region for 18 months serving as a Latter Day Saint missionary. Taylor has always wanted to climb Orizaba after seeing it prominently in the skyline during his mission.
This was Abby’s first visit to Mexico.
Taylor and Abby had never climbed higher than a 14er previously, but trusted a private climb with Dash Adventures for maximum summit success for this special occasion. No pressure for Dave Ashley, right 😅
Abby said yes!! They will be married this May 😀

First off, Montana.

Location: Cooke City, Montana (just a few miles from Yellowstone)
Route: Southwest Couloir (formerly Southwest Ramp)
Distance: 28 miles over 2 days
Required Skills: Backpacking, back country camping, cold water creek crossing, snowshoeing, climbing steep snow ramps with an ice axe and crampons, class 3 rock scrambling with moderate exposure

We’ll meet in Cooke City on the evening of 22 June for a briefing and gear check. Up early the next morning for our hike from the trailhead to our camp site, a short distance from the moderately technical summit climb. We’ll be up in the dark, hitting the snow tongue near dawn and reaching the summing by midday and avoiding afternoon thunderstorms. Back down to camp, where we pack up and hike back to the trailhead arriving after dark.
This is NOT a trip for inexperienced hikers and climbers. We’ll be off trail, crossing streams flowing with snow melt, snowshoeing in unconsolidated snow, and will likely see mixed snow and rock as we climb the SW Couloir.
Climbing in June avoids most of the rock fall hazard this route sees in summer; snow is much more enjoyable than the summer scree! We also avoid the class 4 climb with extreme exposure on the Northern route to this peak.
Thanks to Mike Clendenen for the amazing video from last year! 100% of our group made the summit!
Summit of Cotopaxi
Travel with Dash Adventures to Ecuador!
Climb active volcanos. Pro tip: wear a gas mask in the crater rim so you don’t pass out and die from toxic gasses ☠️
It’s what we do at Dash Adventures!

It’s the season for Everest summits! Have you seen them on the news?!?
Ever want to attempt the world’s highest mountain, but don’t know where to get started?? How about now?? 😉
Dash Adventures has the perfect schedule of climbs over the next 2 years to gain the experience necessary for an attempt on the world’s highest peak in May 2026! No prior experience required.
Join us in Nepal this October for Mera Peak, a non-technical climb 21,247 feet high. This will give you experience above 20,000 feet, crampon experience, and also exposure to the Khumbu Valley where Everest lies waiting. Learn what food your body will tolerate at high elevation, and how to pace, rest, and stay hydrated above 20,000 feet. This climb requires no prior experience with high altitude or glaciers, but you will need to be fit!
Next, we travel to Ecuador in December for high altitude trekking and a climb of Cotopaxi (19,000+ ft) and Chimborazo (over 20,000 ft). Here you will rope up and climb a route with crevasse crossings, steep snow slopes and gain more glacier experience with an ice axe and crampons while roped up to a local professional guide.
In January we travel to Aconcagua, the highest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayan plateau. At nearly 23,000 feet high you’ll see how your body responds without supplemental oxygen at elevations of up to Camp 2 on Everest. This is another non-technical climb but the altitude makes it a real challenge. Again we use local guides so you can learn new and different tips for high elevation climbing.
Next it’s back to Nepal/Tibet in May 2025, this time for the 6th highest mountain in the world, Cho Oyu. Here you will gain experience using bottled oxygen with your personal Sherpa guide to climb up to nearly 27,000 feet using multiple camps and over an extended acclimitization period.
Then you’ll have a year to continue gaining experience, perhaps tackling some of the 7 summits or creating a custom climb schedule with
