We have enjoyed our southern snow hunkered down with the family but now we are coming out of hibernation and getting back out into the world. We thoroughly love the forced down time snow in our southern city affords us.

Look at the new cards we just got in for our own Kelly Sheppard Murray's fine art business. We love working with artist and have a few that call on us for regular work. Artists should present themselves with beautifully designed marketing materials. It doesn't have to break the bank to have a few useful items like business cards, posters, banners for makers that do craft fairs, letter head, stickers, labels, postcards etc. Let us know if we can help you out or if you just don't know where to begin and what to prioritize.

Pairing down is essential to being able to stayed tuned in to what is essential and what is important. Find help for the parts of your business that can better be done by someone else. Can we help you keep your website up to date? Do you need some print materials from time to time? We help coaches (life, health & leadership), photographers, artists and other small businesses with their business so they can stay focused on what they do best.

Freedom is eliminating all that is unnecessary in order to focus on what is most important. In business there is a lot we can't eliminate but there are things we can delegate or hire someone else to do. HI all, Kelly here. Damu is holding down the fort in Raleigh while our daughter and I escape for some coastal fun. Thanks Damu! While away we always have our eyes on inspirational nature. Love these little mushrooms and lichen growing on the hammock. Keep your eye open for the little bits of beauty in the world.

What is in a name? This pic may only have one bee and we may be Three Bee Studio but we are sharing it anyway. We chose this name 5+ years ago when we were just starting this biz.

Three reasons we chose this name:
1) We like the worker bee connotation. Having a name suggest work and productivity seemed relevant and important. There is a connotation of the bee working for something bigger than themselves but that they work to help the community.
2) The pollinator suggestion aligns with our desire to mix ideas and connect with other creatives to cross pollinate our talents, experiences and perspectives - with clients and with other creatives for our clients. 3) The connection bees have to nature is important to us as we believe and value nature including natural habitats and resources. We believe that we must act responsibly as individuals and as a collective society to preserve plant, animals and the habitats they dwell in.

What can we do to help you with your business? What questions would you want to ask a designer (web, logo or print designer)? We want you to be able to confidently build a relationship with your "go/to" designer, maybe we are a good fit for you 😄. Building a solid long term relationship with a designer can save you time and energy. They will "get" you and know your brand so the start up time on major or minor projects is much less.

What could you accomplish if you made a little space for it? Something that has recently motivated us was to find ways to eliminate something that is no longer working with our priorities. When something isn't feeling right or your priorities shift, taking stock and stripping things away that aren't a good fit anymore makes room for new areas of growth and accomplishment. This can be motivating and allows new and exciting things to come into your life. For most of us this "making space" may mean drawing personal or professional boundaries or stepping back from duties that aren't essential. Sometimes it means hiring someone to help you with tasks you know someone can do faster and better, thus leaving you to focus on the things that really motivate and excite you.
