Amercia's Castle's

I'm looking for something that captures the imagination, that has the ability to transport you to another time and place. When I think of a castle, I think of the kind that they have over in England and Scotland that were build about 800 or more years ago. I think of a building that is well fortified with towers, a drawbridge, crenelations around the top. I think of a building made of stone, although a brick castle is fine too. Please share with us any Castle or Abandoned Place you have visited.
