am a 15-year-old, high school freshman. I am writing to you about an extremely special opportunity. I have been selected to become a People to People Student Ambassador to Australia. Next summer, I will join a delegation of students my age on a 20-day educational program that will take us along the coast of Australia. Our curriculum will teach us about the history, culture, and people of the region. After all, there is no better way to learn about culture than to experience it firsthand, through home stays and school visits. We will be led by experienced teachers and engage in a wide variety of cultural encounters and adventures. We will be snorkeling the Coral Reef, escalating down a really tall wall, meet the locals, and learn a whole bunch more. Her Silver Award project: Knit 1, Bless 2 - Tri-Cities, was a success in bridging kids and adults together to knit for local charities including: Project Linus-Tri-cities chapter, Cute Chemo Caps, for the TCCC, and Teenie Beanies, Tiny Linies & Bitty Booties- A Bronze Award Project by her sister Abi, to make preemie items for Kadlec's NICU, to which they both have a connection.
