December Tip for decluttering:

Many of us have family visiting for the holidays.

1. Make a box of pictures for each one to take home.
2. Assign each person a drawer or closet to help clean out
3. Fill a few boxes for donation, drop them off and then go for coffee!
4. If your kids still have things stored at your house, have them go through them. If they don't want the stuff refer back to #3!

The holidays are coming and we all scramble for gift ideas but do we ask ourselves if the person really needs more stuff?

Here's a few ideas:

For grandkids: toys are great but how about buying them Experiences- enroll them in a class, music lessons, take them to the zoo, the beach or a weekend fun trip.

For grown kids with young children: how about giving them a night out, paying for the dinner and babysitter?

For Seniors: hire a house cleaner for a few visits, treat them to a day with an organizer (Changing Places can help!), take them out once a week for lunch, arrange for meal deliveries.

Quality time is the best gift you can give someone. It's on our list this holiday season!
