Lots to see on our Discover Downtown and the Richmond Waterfront Bike Tour. Our fantastic new tour guide Jeffrey made sure to show it all to Sabine and her son visiting the East Coast from Germany and they all had “an excellent time getting to know Richmond and her beautiful spots”, like the Low Line and the Potterfield Bridge. We’re kicking off with a bioblitz on June 17th from 11 am - 1 pm at the Low line Gardens. A bioblitz takes place over a short period of time (two hours) in a specific area (The Low Line) and is intended to be a biological inventory to find and identify present species (insects in this case). You don’t need to be a scientist or entomologist, if you’re interested in participating, we’d love to have you! During the bioblitz, the volunteer who takes care of our mason bee hive will be on site to chat about these important pollinators. There will also be folks from Richmond VA Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities, as well as Bee City RVA — so come on down to celebrate and learn more about our pollinators.

Our Amsterdam bike tour with sunny, remarkable made all the difference in our visit to this wonderful cycling city that invests in bike infrastructure as integral to its transit systems. It was wonderful for to experience it first hand!!! 🚲🚲🚲We rode through all types of chilly Amsterdam weather - wind, rain, hail, sun, clouds - and loved every minute, being warmed as we were by the graciousness of our guide Roos🌹The coffee and pie in a traditional Dutch cafe didn’t hurt either!
