We are excited to announce that KNG Visual Solutions has added multi-colored pad printing to its services. Pad printing allows for highly defined or smaller prints to be placed on curved, textured, or hard to reach surfaces. One of the main advantages of pad printing is that it prints on three-dimensional surfaces and products of all shapes and sizes. It can be applied to many materials such as plastic, glass, and metal in objects including switches ,controls, panels, and promotional items.

Screen re-stretching time!
Screen printing frame re-stretching is the process of removing & replacing the old mesh from a used screen printing frame to restore its tautness with new mesh.
This process is critical because the mesh of the frame can become loose after use, making it difficult to achieve sharp, clear prints.

What we do:
Graphics prints, silk screening, and pad printing.

***Produce Custom frames for artists and for specialty applications i.e circuit board printing. We also re-stretch existing screens big & small
***Plastic and glass container decoration (from ½ oz to 1 gallon) of Specialty/Promotional Items: product packaging, cosmetic packaging, cannabis containers, wine glasses, beer glasses, coffee tumblers, household items, and more

We work with all kinds of materials such as paper, card stock, self adhesive films, plastic, aluminum, acrylic, glass, wood, and corrugated cardboard.

In a poster-y kind of mood this morning!

This was a great exhibit at SFO a few years back, but I never saw this article until now. Written by Ben Marks, curator of the show, it goes into much more detail than usual about the printing process itself, and the importance of the printers behind these legendary images:

"Many of the artists working between 1966 and 1971, talented though they were, did not know the first thing about offset lithography, the dominant printing technique of the day...As a result, career pressmen were often unsigned collaborators, teaching artists how to get the most out of a medium they absolutely had to understand if they were going to make it as poster artists."

(Incidentally, I've spent time running that same Chief 22 press shown in the article. Wish I'd been doing stuff like this!)
