Woosah! -in my Martin voice. It has been a stressful but much needed week of total focus on writing sections of my dissertation! I still have a long week in my journey but it was great to get feedback from my professors and classmates! It is good to know that I’m not alone in this journey!

To say the least, this has been quite a stressful week! It was my first week with students back at school and I will be starting a new journey in a couple of days that I imagine will be stressful and rewarding at the same time. To recover from this week, I took this morning to just relax, unwind, and binge a couple of movies before getting to my normal weekend grind of being a doctoral student. The grind gets tough sometimes, but I have to keep pushing!

The city of Nkwanta, the city I visited last summer on my mission trip, is in need of your prayers! For the past few months, there has been fighting between the Akyode and Adele people over land rights! This beautiful land is being torn apart due to the civil conflict, schools have closed and many has been forced to evacuate due to violence and killings. Please pray for the leaders of these two communities to find peace and resolution, and pray for God’s protection over the lives of the people.

Praise Break💃: I just have to take a moment for a little praise break!!! Last night, I was literally having a panic attack (shortness of breath, tightness in chest) because I just couldn’t focus and get started on an essay that I need to complete by today. (If I being honest, I still haven’t started on it.) I started to question whether I wanted to continue with this doctoral program and whether I was even capable of doing it (Imposter syndrome is no joke). I’ve been under a lot of stress lately with the anxiety of waiting for the grade from my last class to post, balancing time between work and school, planning an upcoming trip (Yes, planning a trip is stressful when you are an over-thinker. Even though, I have the time of my life once I’m on it). Well, I ended up just telling myself to just go to sleep because I’m obviously not going to get anything done tonight. Guess what, I woke up to an A- in the class that I was stressing about. Won’t he do it!! While you are stressing, God is already working things out! The journey will not be easy, but it is all in God’s hands! 🙌🏾

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate my parents’ retirement! They have worked their entire lives and devoted their life to taking care of others. They have taught my sister and I what it means to be servant leaders! Now it’s time for them to focus on them and enjoying the life that God has given them! Love 💕 them to the moon and back!
