During her experiences teaching in public schools and as an alternative high school diploma instructor, she noticed a recurrent theme. Students lacked relevance for how what was taught in class related to their daily lives. As the director of educational organization for over a decade, she also observed that the most joyful, academically successful students were the ones free to express their crea
tivity. These experiences, combined with the success of educating her own two children, taught Nicole how impactful auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning modes are to helping students comprehend information. The goal of ILMY is to provide insight, by linking how children learn best with interests and strengths, while balancing current academic standards with developing lifelong learners. Educational coaching is conducted through a dynamic process and is tailored to the unique needs of each child. I Learn My Way’s integrated approach asks children to become partners in guiding their education. After an initial assessment, ongoing evaluations link how children communicate and process information with individualized achievement plans.
