Millions of Stitches

Millions of Stitches Unique Handmade Bags & Purses, Decorative & Functional Items for the Home Be sure to visit my shop at Zibbet.com where I post new items frequently.

Since I don't buy fabric in bulk it's unusual for me to make items which are exactly alike. And my Christmas stockings are always one-of-a-kind.

Time to make those weekend plans. I'm looking forward to being a vendor at the Harvest Bazaar at the Middleburgh Reformed Church on Saturday from 10:00-4:00. Pottery, jewelry, textile work, photography, kitchenware, cooking mixes and personal care products will be for sale. You can pick up muffins and lunch as well. So, hit the farm stands, come to the bazaar, stop at Under the Nose for some fudge or cookies and make a day of it!

Sea Foam Pieced Tote

It's snowing again in upstate New York. Looking at this bag reminds me of warm sunshine and softly crashing waves. I want to be wherever that's happening!

I created this large tote from strips of several batik fabrics in shades of blue and green. The bottom band, top band, straps and lining are cotton. It's fully lined and has multiple interior slip pockets handy for keeping your small items organized. The straps have an 11" drop making it comfortable...

There is still at least a foot of snow outside my sewing room window but I‘m thinking about tropical breezes, long sunny days and relaxing by the sea.

Watermelon Stripes Clutch

Do any of my friends in upstate New York need a touch of spring? This fabric reminds me of summertime and watermelon. I can't wait!

The outer fabric of this fun clutch has lime green, dark green, off white and bright pink diagonal stripes. The full lining is lime green with a small design. A different lime green fabric trims and lines the outer pocket. The zipper is bright pink. A layer of foam padding between the fabrics adds s...

Abstract Tote

This falls squarely in the category of I wish I needed it!

This abstract tote was made with a cotton duck fabric with bold dark blue patterns against a cream background. Careful planning before cutting the fabric allowed the patterns to match at the side and bottom seams, all of which are double stitched for durability. The floral cotton lining has multiple...

Unlined totes just added to my shop at www.millionsofstitches.com. They're so handy for a day out shopping, doing errands or as your go-to-work bag. The long straps let you reach in without taking it off your shoulder.

Reusable Mesh Produce Bags - Set of Two - Large and Medium

It's more important than ever that we be careful about our use of disposables. Save a few plastic bags each time you grocery shop by using mesh produce bags.

These lightweight mesh produce bags are environmentally friendly, strong, washable and a great alternative to using plastic bags. They're made from polyester mesh, a more durable option than tulle. All seams are double stitched for strength. They can be used for produce, tub toys, organizing travel…

Argyle Wine Bottle Gift Bag

This is one of the six wine bottle gift bags I just finished to put away for next year's holiday season. January is a great time to get a head start on my craft show busy season.

I made this fun wine bottle gift bag from cotton fabric which has a bold argyle pattern in red, green and black with a gold accent. The full lining is a red, green and gold plaid. It closes with a gold colored drawstring which saves you from having to tie a neat looking bow! It measures nearly 14" t...
