RUIDOSO DOWNS ANNOUNCES LIMITED CAPACITY FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND!
With the 2023 race meet well underway, preparations for Labor Day and the All-American Futurity are top of mind. Throughout the meet, our team has continued to refine our hospitality model, including building two new trackside restaurants, reworking all concession stand menus and providing trackside beverage and mutuel service for all box seat holders. The feedback we are receiving is resoundingly positive and drives us to continue to focus on providing not only world class horse racing, but also best in class service.
The 2023 meet started off with the largest crowds the racetrack has seen in nearly 20 years and with purses growing to record levels, we expect the remainder of the meet to reflect similar patterns. Historically, many of our faithful fans have shied away from our biggest race days like All-American Trials and Finals due to crowds growing to 15,000+. Crowds this size cause congested parking and limit reasonable access to other services like food and beverage and mutuel tellers and can on many occasions, limit the enjoyment many seek from live racing. Our goal should not be to set attendance records, but to be the best. To achieve that goal, Ruidoso Downs will be setting a capacity limit for All-American Finals weekend on September 2, 3 & 4, 2023.
Tickets for these dates go on sale today, Monday, July 17, 2023, and will remain on sale until the capacity limit has been reached. Given the reduced capacity, we encourage race fans to utilize our online ticketing system to book early.
