Join us for a luxurious, catered eco sailing tour of San Francisco Bay
Captains Lauren and Jerry have over 80 years of combined experience captaining boats around the world. They are both passionate sailors and love being out on San Francisco bay. They also both love people, and sharing the joys of sailing with their guests. Lauren is a licensed Coast Guard Captain and professional sailing instructor, and loves to share her knowledge of sailing and adventures with her guests. In addition, she worked for over 20 years at the local Ports of San Francisco and Oakland and has a wealth of knowledge about the maritime, natural and cultural histories of the Bay. Jerry owns the luxurious yacht "Whimsea" and has sailed on this boat and others around the world. He is a doctor, and a pilot and is dedicated to keeping our guests safe and comfortable. He loves people, and sharing the Bay's beauty and wonders.
This is an intimate customized experience for up to six guests. We'll pick you up at your hotel or residence, or arrange for a car to meet us at the Paradise Cay Marina in Tiburon. At the marina, we'll acquaint you with our beloved yacht "Whimsea" and all of it's luxurious amenities, give you a safety tour and briefing, stow your gear, and agree on a tour itinerary for the day. Then we'll put on all our sailing gear and disembark the dock for adventures on the Bay. Depending on the weather, we'll head to the central bay past Tiburon, Sausalito, Angel Island and Alcatraz, and head for the Golden Gate Bridge. During our voyage you can sit back and relax with some gourmet food and drinks, and/or help us steer and trim the sails. The boat is very comfortable, stable, and we guarantee you wont get wet or cold. The experience is like sitting in a luxurious living room with great views passing you by. During the voyage you can feel free to ask us about the maritime history of the bay, the environmental conditions of the Bay or any other fun Bay facts.
