Did a trip to Iceland this summer, our second time to one of my favorite places in the world. The ultimate scenic road trip, with dramatic views from Iceland's ring road. Lush farmlands, black sandy beaches, steep rugged cliffs, vast river plains, waterfalls, glaciers, geothermal baths, active volcanos....I'm still in awe of its beauty.

Spent the weekend closer to home in northern California. Lassen National Park, beautiful with its late spring snow and partial frozen lakes. Then a short hike down to picturesque Burney falls. Late May to early July is a great time to visit.
