Augustine’s historic landmarks, including Castillo de San Marcos, Fort Matanzas, Flagler College, the Lightner Museum and the nation’s oldest wooden schoolhouse. The schoolhouse dates back between 1704 and 1716. It was one of the first co-ed schools starting in 1788! There is so much history and sites to see in St. You just need to decide how to see it. When you place your booking, you will have 2 options on how you would like to explore the city - either via a boat cruise or a hop on, hop off trolley! If you opt for the trolley ride, you’ll get the chance to see all the most picturesque sites of the old city. During the 90-minute circuit, you can hop on and off as many times as you like or just stay on and ride the entire loop – more than once if you wish. Your conductor will entertain you throughout the trolley with facts and stories about the fascinating sights along the way. It’s a fun way for all ages to learn about this beautiful and historic town. The train route covers over 7 miles and it runs every 15-20 minutes at all 22 locations. Note that entrance fees into the museums and other attractions are not included in the trolley price. Guests will be given a map when they board the trolley showing the stops and highlights close to each so you can plan your day. You can hop off to explore closer then just hop back on the next trolley that comes around the route! If a scenic boat ride is your choice instead, you’ll have a one hour and fifteen–minute cruise on the Victory III. The captain will narrate your cruise along the shores, pointing out historic sights and natural wonders as you pass by. You are in good, knowledgeable hands and will get an insider look to the area. The family has lived in the St. Augustine area since the 1700's and the company was started in 1900. There is plenty of room to spread out on the decks of this 2 level boat. It is 60' long and 20' wide with covered inside areas, open air outside areas, there is room for everyone! There are restrooms onboard and there is a cash bar for guests to make purchases if they desire. Regardless of which activity you choose, you will have approximately 6 hours to explore the city.
