FREE ‘Myths & Legends of the Ancient City’ Historic Walking Tour!
This upcoming Friday the 13th at 6pm (and on the following Fridays in October for Halloween month) Ghost Tours of St. Augustine, the city’s original ghost tour company, will host this creepy-fun one hour walking tour entirely free of charge for guests!

Sometimes history and legends combine, and on this enchanted tour you will learn about many of the legends of the ancient city and the TRUE history behind them. Why is the bay called Matanzas, the Spanish word for massacre or slaughter? Can an antique rug be cursed? Is it true what they say about grave robbers? This fascinating one-hour walking tour of the historic downtown area lead by a professional tour guide will delve into all of this, and so much more!

As part of our continuing Meet the Author book signing events & in partnership with Ghost Tours of St. Augustine Inc, we will host Dr. Jamie Pearce, author and renowned paranormal researcher, during First Friday Art Walk. Dr. Pearce is the founder of Historic Haunts Investigations and has been professionally involved in the paranormal field for over 25 years.

She is a paranormal investigator who holds a PhD in Paranormal Psychology, and is a member of numerous research organizations, historic foundations, and writers groups throughout the country. Dr. Pearce is the author of the Historic Haunts series featuring stories grouped by geographic locations. Her 'Historic Haunts Florida' and 'Historic Haunts Florida II' include tales of the St Augustine Lighthouse, City Gates, Fort Matanzas, Washington Oaks, and more.

In addition to her writing and research, Dr. Pearce also hosts the popular 'Speaking of the Paranormal' podcast.
