Once again, Italy is the number one destination for beauty and travel this year. What could be better than Italy? You have natural beauty, art, architecture, archeology, history, and the locals are beautiful. Then there is all that food, wine, olive oil and more. Boat rides on three coasts, mountains in the center and in the north, volcanos and Pompeii. So much to enjoy.

siamo felici di condividere con voi un'importante notizia: il comitato dei creditori coinvolti nel fallimento della Sammezzano Castle Srl ha votato a favore della proposta di concordato presentata da Ginevra Moretti attraverso la Smz Srl.

Tuttavia, prima che la proprietà del complesso venga definitivamente assegnata, è necessario attendere un ulteriore periodo (indicativamente un mese o poco più), affinché la fallita Sammezzano Castle Srl abbia la possibilità di saldare i propri debiti.

A nostro avviso, l’unica vera opportunità per il rilancio di questo straordinario luogo è proprio l'assegnazione definitiva alla famiglia Moretti. La loro proposta è solida dal punto di vista finanziario (la Smz Srl fa infatti parte della più ampia holding di famiglia, la HKC Srl) ed è di immediata realizzazione. Inoltre, è portata avanti da imprenditori del nostro territorio, che hanno già dimostrato il loro impegno nella tutela del patrimonio culturale locale.

Soluzioni improvvisate o incerte, rischierebbero solo di compromettere il futuro di Sammezzano, mettendone a rischio la conservazione e il recupero.

Confidiamo in un esito positivo e attendiamo con speranza.

Florence was out of danger on Saturday due to the "decisive" role of a key floodgate that prevented the Arno river from bursting its banks after heavy rainfall, Italian authorities said.
About 250 people were evacuated from their homes on Friday after the equivalent of a month's worth of rain fell in six hours, flooding streets and swelling waterways across the Tuscany region.
"The flood peak of the Arno passed without any critical issues," Tuscany's president, Eugenio Giani, wrote on social media on Saturday.
A red weather alert remained in place in the Florence area until midday on Saturday, with parks, cemeteries, markets, museums and libraries all closed.
The Arno, which flows through Florence and Pisa, is prone to flooding in spring and fall.
Construction of the floodgate began after a devastating flood in 1949 but was not completed in time to avert devastating flooding in 1966, when over 100 people were killed.
