This summer has been rather busy with creating collateral for multiple, back-to-back tradeshows in the US, Japan and China. This eclectic mix of design challenges among various clients (and languages) has been satisfying, to say the least. I love what I do, and it helps to work with some fantastic marketing departments. Here is one piece being assembled for an event in Dongguan, China celebrating the grand opening of an 11-story, 370,000 sq ft manufacturing facility and the 35th anniversary of Quasar Medical, a global leader in the medical device manufacturing industry.

Just completed the layouts of two trade show booth graphics for the LoRa Alliance®, the fastest growing open and nonprofit association of technology leaders, product companies and mobile network operators in the technology sector. These backdrops measure 30' x 8' for Realcomm 2023 and 20' x 8' for ACE23.

A big thanks to the marketing team for their stellar management of these projects. They truly make my job enjoyable.

Pallets to castles. Here we go again. :-)

Forged from the cliffs of the southern mountains by the breath of dragons (namely Carl, Dwaine and Marty), this imposing sentinel of vitrified stone stands as a bastion of peace and tranquility for the kingdom below, striking fear in the hearts of those who plot evil against the revered king and his loyal subjects, etcetera, etcetera.

My youngest's ambitious demands, inspired to some degree by an irreverent bedtime storyline, required some unique design considerations: foreboding tooth-shaped merlons, sloping walls, round towers, hidden rooms, a trap door leading to an underground slide, a mountain-cliff setting. Also, a courtyard for lounging dragons, a doorbell, and a lazy river moat with inflatable crocodiles for relaxing rides during times of peace, and for intimidation when under attack from the likes of Lord Nero and his evil sorcerer, Bob.

Precious little is square on this castle so it was the most challenging build. But the main structure is complete. It'll get a coat of paint in the spring.

This is one of several catalogs I laid out for Colder Products Company using their new branding. The challenge was to take the immense amount of ever-changing information and organize it into sections that are easy navigate, with pages laid out in a way that worked for both print and electronic versions. I have been working with the marketing department of this company since 2007 and it has been a privilege to be a part of the growth the company has experienced over the years.

Here's the latest illustration for Rambo Bikes. This artwork will go on the sides of the massive shipping boxes that contain these juggernauts of adventure. The goal was to show a few of the many adventures that await the proud owner of such a bike. Special thanks to Adrian Hillman's camping scene (far right) and Designer_things' fir tree scattered throughout; a couple of well used istockphoto purchases that save me a lot of time! :-)
