Gonna cross-post from another group...
So...
name a UTube channel thats worth watching - but hasnt used any eXtreme words in at least last 5 post titles...
This might be rhetorical question/post, or may be I'm just getting too old and picky, or may be Youtube algorithm just stuffing highest paid rollers down the list?!
Every video seems to be titled something along lines...
Extreme, Stuck, Worst, Lost, Surviving, Near Death, Severe, Storm, Remote, Scariest, Hardest, Dangerous... etc...
May be i'm just blabbering, but has youtube overland scene become nothing more than a marketing scheme, titles ringing the bells of "nothing"...
And its one thing when a "newbie" thinks he has an extreme trip cuz he popped his tire bead on a camp trip with another "new to the experience" person, they swapped out that "never before used" spare and worst thing about the experience was that they had to remove trasharoo that also never been removed since purchased new...
But no - these are well-rounded and whats presented to be aged 4x4 fellas, simply running out of footage and title ideas, after all - competition is only is good as your competitor...
After all, how many videos can you made about cooking same 2 eggs, or talking about your diesel heater setup?
Just venting I guess... just venting...
