🇺🇸 Honoring History: The 388th Anniversary of the First Muster 🇺🇸

Join us in Salem as we commemorate 388 years since the First Muster of the National Guard! Salem is home to the birthplace of the nation's militia, dating back to 1637. Each year, service members, veterans, and community supporters come together to honor this historic event with a special ceremony.

Saturday, April 12th at Salem Common. Events will take place throughout the morning, with the main ceremony beginning at 10:00 AM. Highlights include a military equipment display, a jet flyover, and a cannon salute scheduled for 11:00 AM. Please be aware that there will be loud noises and booms during this time. Weather permitting, a military helicopter is expected to land on the Common around 7:30 AM.
