We are located on the ocean side of Salter Path, NC. Our beach is great for sunning, swimming, fishing and walking. You cannot see the ocean from the motel, but it is an easy walk across our picturesque dunes on an established nature trail to reach the beach and there are approximately 20 acres by the ocean called the 'Salter Path Dunes Natural Area' with the space to enjoy and relax on a very unc

rowded and quiet beach. We offer free wi-fi and cable television. Linens are provided and rooms with kitchens are fully stocked with dinnerware, cookware and utensils. No swimming pool and no in-room phones.

๐‘ต๐’–๐’Ž๐’ƒ๐’†๐’“ 5: This room has been a fan favorite amongst our guests and local looky-loos! I canโ€™t pick a favorite room because I love them all and each one is special in their own wayโ€ฆbut if I were to, itโ€™s a close tie between #5 and #8. The breakfast nook is the perfect way to separate the kitchenette from the rest of the room. I definitely want to replicate this in some of our other rooms! Weโ€™ve never had king size beds before and many guests request a king room, so we really needed this. The trundles are a great way to still have this room sleep 4! The accent tambour and gold cane are everything! I will say that this bathroom tile is my favoriteโ€ฆespecially the floors! knows how to tile! A huge thank you to and for this beautiful transformation!

We love the local support that weโ€™ve received and donโ€™t mind at all if people want to stop by to take a look at things! Tune in tonight at 8 PM to see our outdoor space come alive!!

Everyone loves the beautiful handmade key-board and custom wood-art accent wall. Truffleโ€™s new favorite pastime is lounging by the window and greeting our guests when they come to check-in. A HUGE THANK YOU to the entire team for making this dream space happen out of very little ground. We definitely feel like winners even if the judges didnโ€™t agree ๐Ÿ˜‰

๐‘ต๐’–๐’Ž๐’ƒ๐’†๐’“ 8: This room is so gorgeous and perfectly designed. We wanted an elevated, vintage vibe and the team exceeded any and all expectations! Iโ€™m obsessed with the combo of tambour and our original headboard. The wallpaper is tropical and unique. 8 of our 10 other rooms have kitchenettes and this room just didnโ€™t have space for a 4 person dining area. The reupholstered cane chairs are so perfect and we canโ€™t forget the masterfully crafted built-in woodwork!

This mobile home needed a ton of structural repairโ€ฆfrom floor joists to sub floors, wall studs and all new wall paneling, new ceilings in the bedrooms and bathroom, an entire new roof, a new front deck and stairs, and all new plumbing. I am so proud of Perry and all that he accomplished with this one.

Here are some before and aftersโ€ฆI didnโ€™t get as many before shots as I should have. My favorite upgrade is the kitchenette! And the fact that he demoed an old clunky closet in one bedroom and created a whole new closet from a hidden space behind the wall in the other bedroom.

๐‘ต๐’–๐’Ž๐’ƒ๐’†๐’“ 1: This was our very first project for this season and it was down to the wire! We were not planning to do anything with this room until our off-seasonโ€ฆ.7 days before opening, we realized a few panels needed to be replaced and we wanted to close in the back window for insulation purposes. Before we knew it, it became a full makeover. New floors, a chair rail, and paint worked wonders for the vibe of this room! It is one of our original four rooms, built in 1954, which makes it really special. The guests have been loving it and it has been our most booked room so far this year!

We are officially closed for the winter season! The motel is undergoing a renovation, but will remain a relic as one of Salter Pathโ€™s oldest businesses. It is our goal to keep a piece of history alive and ensure that each of our guests enjoy a glimpse into the past with modern day southern hospitality.

Once final renovation plans are determined, we will begin booking for the 2024 season!

For those of you that didn't get a chance to come stay with us this season, we have new additions to our team that we would like to introduce. Little William and Amy's daughter, Amanda, and her husband, Perry, have moved to Salter Path to help keep The William & Garland thriving! Amanda has grown up coming to Salter Path and helping at the motel since she was a little girl. She and Perry got married here last year and he too fell in love with our little slice of heaven. They moved here on May 1st and hit the ground running for a busy summer season! They have been working on updates throughout the summer and have more in store for our off-season this year.

Big William and Peggy are doing very well. They have worked really hard their whole lives and it's finally time for them to rest a bit and enjoy the fruits of their labor. They are here and happy to say hello and catch up with old friends that come to visit!

We have been so busy this summer, we have not been keeping up with our page as much as we would like. I apologize for any messages or requests that were delayed or went unanswered. At this time, we only have the capacity to respond to any inquiries or reservation bookings through phone, text, email, or our website. Our Story

We are a small family motel located in Salter Path, NC on the ocean side of the island. There are approximately 20 acres on our beach side called the 'Salter Path Dunes Natural Area.' Although you cannot see the ocean from the motel, it is an easy walk across the picturesque dunes to our beach. The beach area in front of our well trodden path is very quiet and uncrowded. It is great for sunning, swimming, fishing and walking. It is truly a relaxing and peaceful place to stay.

We have rooms equipped with kitchens and mobile homes with separate bedrooms available for rent. Our rooms have cable TV, HBO and free WiFi. We do not have phones in the rooms or a swimming pool. There is a patio and grill available for guestsโ€™ use and we are within walking distance of some great restaurants serving some of the best seafood that the Crystal Coast has to offer.

Lastly, we welcome your pets and though we do not have a particular size limit, larger animals must be well trained. For their safety we ask that pets be crated when left unattended and due to local leash laws pets must be on a leash at all times, especially when on the beach.
