With the increase in homeschooling due to the pandemic, there is a need for resources by struggling parents. This is a resource and information page ONLY. We are not a Co-op and do not offer classes. Please visit our website for information on local area resources, and links to curriculum ideas. And just a heads up, doing school work provided by the school while at home is not actual homeschooling like 99% of homeschooled students experience it, despite the name. San Antonio Home Education

The Institute of Surgical Research is hosting Gains in the Education of Mathematics and Science (GEMS): Science Camp for Middle School this summer. The program is laboratory-based and provides every student with an opportunity to participate in scientific experiments. The GEMS program exposes student interns to classic experiments and trains them in basic laboratory skills. It is a four day camp with three sessions to choose from. (Session 1, June 18-21; Session 2, June 25-28; Session 3, July 9-12). Application for summer interns (current 6-8 graders) is currently open.

Additionally there are openings for highly motivated College Students who would like to serve as counselors for the program.
