Today's collage made as a card. I used vintage music paper, envelope innards, a piece of painted sandwich bag, a fun new stamp and a rose sticker. Using simple patterned cards as a base is handy, since it is all ready to go. So thankful for my boss. I hope she likes our week of pampering her.

Having fun creating stitched watercolour bubbles for a collaboration. I used salt with Daniel Smith's gem minerals for added pop and now am adding texture. I'm so thankful for inspirational artists in our online community.💓

I am slowly getting back to crochet, after resting my hands and arms. Creating these is so satisfying, so it feels really nice when I can finish one. This one is especially unique- multi coloured and dynamic. Message if it feels like yours, or you would like it sent off to surprise a loved one.

I know I am not the only one who has been adding plant friends to their homes. I feel like this is my form of back to school shopping this year...? This week I brought home some which I've never had- peperomia rosso, aralia and rattlesnake Calathea. I also found a tiny sansevieria which now lives on my art desk- and is supposed to be extra helpful for purifying the air. Lots of green magic to be found. Any tips for these new fellows? Any favourites you have in your home?

Life is different, and as I head into this school year, I have more reminders of this than ever. But beautiful things like a friend making from-scratch Basque Burnt Cheesecake to celebrate my birthday remind us all that human kindness is alive and well! So thankful for friendship and I will remember to keep that alive, even as life gets busier during his unique school year! 💓

Playing with gloss sprays. Making art for friends is very grounding. Swipe to see how I used the stencil as stamp, getting two background options out of this. I love he way these sprays blend in to create such beautiful colours. These creative moments are therapeutic!

My Lammas harvest colours- unintentional, but perfect. Overnight oats soaking with chia, cinnamon and dried persimmons, and cinnamon and turmeric play dough made for my little niece, whom I get to see tomorrow. Lots to be grateful for today. Happy Lughnasadh! @ San Diego, California

This has been a very different summer for us. Usually our travels being time off the grid, and so I have had to enforce screenless time for myself, since we are still in CA. Lots of reading. I now have tennis elbow in both arms so I have had to pace myself and take lots of days off of knitting and crochet, which is usually my meditation and nourishment. Not ideal, but still so much to be grateful for. This is another chocolate paper collage. I had fun making lush backgrounds using 's gloss sprays and this one came together simply. Sending light and love and the possibility of hidden treasures found in life's simplest moments.
