WAVE SEASON IS BACK!

Wave Season?? What does that mean?

This is the time of year when travel suppliers start releasing any promotions for the upcoming year(s) (if they haven’t already). It’s after the holidays when people start planning out their spring, summer, and fall vacations. But believe it or not some have already gotten a jump start!

During Wave season, working with a travel advisor, like me, is different from booking from a discount chain or website.

How so?

An advisor works directly with suppliers almost daily, receives training, and knows when and how to apply any promotions that come up. We also know how to advise you on destination logistics and amenities and/or handle changes. That is not the support you’ll receive booking from a discount store or website. Just keep in mind, we are here to provide you with making the best decisions for your family.

You may also be surprised to know that booking with an advisor does not result in higher prices. You DO NOT PAY me. Travel suppliers have built in the cost of paying commissions into their cost of doing business, regardless of how you book your vacation (whether direct, through a discount store, or with an advisor). The difference is that if you don’t book through an advisor and book on your own, you do all the work yourself, and the supplier keeps all the money rather than paying a small business owner.

If you’ve read this far, thank you. Many people don’t know how the relationships between advisors and travel suppliers work, including myself before I became a travel advisor. So, I hope this has helped! 🙂
