With election season upon us, the last two SLO Chamber Legislative Action Committee meetings were the perfect opportunity to overview and discuss state bills and propositions.

Bruce Gibson, District 2 Supervisor and Chris Collier, Tri County Chamber Alliance Representative, joined us in June to discuss state bills on the ballot. September's meeting brought presentations both in support and opposition of other specific ballot measures for the Chamber to take a stance on.

Once these committees made recommendations for stances on ballot measures, the measures were brought to the SLO Chamber Board of Directors to vote on. As a result, our voter guide was created to help you understand everything on your ballot. Learn more at https://slochamber.org/elections/.

To help combat the rise of opioid overdoses in our county, the SLO Opioid Safety Coalition and students at Cal Poly’s Digital Transformation Hub teamed up to create Naxalone Now, an app that delivers the life-saving drug Naxalone directly to people’s doorsteps.
