Take the kids. Take them even though it’ll slow you down, even though the packing feels endless, and even if you’re not sure how you’ll do it. Take them even though strangers might judge you when they cry, or when your car is packed to the brim with snacks, toys, and chaos. Take them even though you’ll spend more time chasing after them than relaxing, and even if you’ll come home more tired than when you left.
Take them because they won’t remember every second, but they’ll remember the wonder and magic of it all. Take them because you’ll remember too—the giggles, the curiosity in their eyes, and the way they reached for your hand when the world felt big and new.
Take them because these trips won’t always be hard. One day they’ll be grown, packing their own bags, choosing their own destinations, and maybe they won’t need you to show them the world anymore. Take them now, while they’re little, while they want to see the world with you. Even when it’s hard, even when it’s messy, even when you feel like giving up—take the kids. You won’t regret it.
