My husband had this before I met him. No tag. It has benisuzume flowers with clear yellow shima. Shima line breeding is quite new so we are assuming this happened naturally. We thought flowers might be inconsistent but at this time flower and variegation is both consistent and blooming like this more than a decade.

Nioiodoshi 匂威: popular Amami marginal stripe that has been extremely popular in Japan and Korea. First found in Kagoshima prefecture and registered in 2015. White marginal stripe is clear and big. It is natural mutation and only division available. It’s mud stem and roots usually but sometimes beautiful ruby roots will be produced from heavy variegated growth like this. Our Kinbotan is showing great color. They could be slow grower and stripe type of Kinbotan can be challenging to grow. But Their popularity is quite stable for decade and good Kinbotan is always hard to come by. In spring time, the contrast of dark leaf and blight yellow tiger stripe, ruby roots make us remember why they are so popular. Let’s watch out for watering for delicate variety like this.

Benishibuki is in full bloom. They are hybrid between Neofinetia falcata and Aerides. Some bloom with yellow flower and some are white. They always produce beautiful pink spots and pink lip. One with yellow flower is called Beni-fubuki lately. I recently imported benishibuki with triple spur. If you haven’t received recent list, please reach out to me! My fukirans are producing amazing variegation and roots right now. I will try my best to post more pictures. Happy growing! #蘭 #富貴蘭
