The Cliffs of Moher is a UNESCO Heritage Site and rightfully so! These large cliffs hold some of the most recognizable horizons in Ireland, and are a site you'll never forget. Alaska is the last (great, beautiful, majestic) frontier!! The Anderson girls planned this trip in 2020, but, well 🤦🏼‍♀️! This long awaited trip did not disappoint, as we visited Ketchikan for a lumberjack show, Juneau and Mendenhall Glacier, Skagway with the beautiful White Pass and Yukon Railway, and today’s stop of Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve with the stunning Margerie Glacier. Can’t wait to come back… want to come with?

Kusadasi, Turkey holds old world treasures for travelers to explore! The first thing to greet us was Pigeon Island, the fortress of the city. Pronounced CUSH eh da see, the word literally means bird. While here, we experienced the age old tradition of hand spun Turkish rugs, knotted in unique designs, including this Last Supper rug that retailed for over $15K. Don’t worry… they bargain. The lady who purchased it got it for around $4k!!

Who is familiar with the Greek island of Rhodes? I wasn’t! It turned into a glorious surprise. The beautiful acropolis of Lindos houses the Temple of Apollos overlooking the Mediterranean and St Paul’s Bay (Acts 21 tells that he landed there on one of his missionary journeys). Among its treasures is one of the last remaining pottery shops owned by 3 generations.

Next stop, Santorini!! Beautiful cliffs, whitewashed limestone buildings overlooking the majestic Mediterranean make this a must-see stop. It’s so romantic, I walked by a couple getting engaged. From Germany, he drove her to “work” and instead took her to the airport to fly out for a cliffside view in Oia, where he proposed!!

Malta was so beautiful, it takes two separate posts to share! The capital of this beautiful island country is Valletta, where the port resides (see the stunning harbor off the Mediterranean). It’s rich history, architecture and art intersect at St John’s Co-Cathedral, where Caravaggio’s famous painting, St Jerome, was on display. This strategic island was pivotal in several wars, including World War II when it was bombed mercilessly (see monument photo). Malta is the reason I chose this cruise itinerary. Oh, Malta 🇲🇹, you have my heart! This beautiful city of Mdina is limestone and painted doors. With fascinating walkways and pristine streets, it’s almost unbelievable that this former capital city was developed in the 1200s. (St. Paul’s Cathedral IHO the apostle Paul who was shipwrecked on the island, Acts 27:26-28:1).

Our Story

As a single mom with a daughter, I found it really easy to pick up and go. Between the ages of three and six, my daughter had frequent flier miles on two different airlines. Once school began, we transitioned to road trips. That is how #Andersongirlsadventures began - with our own family adventures.

With over 20 years event planning experience, I planned each trip with a series of events and activities, exploring the unique locations and highlights of each city. Having planned several hundred events for individuals, I bring the same attention to detail to travel planning. Just like each event, every trip is unique and has its own nuance. I enjoy matching your preferences to the perfect trip within your price range.
