Hello to all our friends and guests…we appreciate everyone who stayed with us in 2021 and are looking forward to an exciting 2022!

Couple quick updates:

1) Renovations will be taking place the next few weeks to freshen up the property with lots of changes taking place. Pictures will be posted once complete. Intent is to enhance everyone’s stay so you get the most out of your time.

2) We recently acquired a second property on Lake Marion!! Located across the lake in Santee, we have a 2 BR/2BA ground floor corner condo that has room to sleep 8 comfortably (3 Queen beds and a Queen sleeper sofa), is situated just off I-95, and is very conveniently located near the community pool, boat ramp, slips, and fishing pier. Another BEAUTIFUL day at our Retreat at Lake Marion. Our home away from home. Enjoyed an awesome day on the water and now it’s time for steaks, potatoe, and corn on the cob!

When staying at the Retreat, should you get a hankering for Mexican, Armando’s in Santee is a short drive away.

Here today enjoying the Champions League Final, and rooting on Chelsea, while taking in some obligatory margarita. Only question is, which size: regular, medium, jumbo, monster, or pitcher?

Happy Memorual Day everyone! We are off to a great start at the retreat. Weather is great. Mix of sun and clouds and just a little windy.

We’ll be opening the bee hive tomorrow and adding our second brood box. We’ll either take video or do a live feed so anyone wanting to check it out can enjoy it with us.

Wherever you are…be safe and remember the fallen. It’s their sacrifice which makes our freedom and this long weekend possible.

Hey friends! Quick update from the Retreat. Our bees are doing great! Below are pictures of a healthy brood frame and one of a frame being filled with nothing but HONEY!

Next week we’ll likely add another brood box so will take video to share so you all can see inside the hive and maybe even meet her majesty, the Queen herself!

Looking forward to harvesting honey later this year and sharing those videos as well.

Back during the Summer (of 2020) Julie and I acquired this beautiful property on the shores of Lake Marion in South Carolina. We are beyond thankful to the prior owners, Dan and Nadine Maslowski, for their generosity and service to our country.
