WOW!!! What a weekend!!

We are absolutely bursting with pride for our phenomenal Ava, the 2025 Youth of the Year for Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties!! While she won’t be advancing to the regional competition, she represented us with unmatched passion, confidence, and heart — and we truly could not be prouder!

From her powerful speech to her authentic and personal interviews, Ava left nothing on the table. She showed up as her full, brilliant self — and the room felt it. And now… she’s headed to WEST POINT!!! Yes, THE United States Military Academy!! That’s the kind of excellence we’re talking about!

Ava, your leadership, strength, and voice inspire us all. You’ve already made history in your own way, and we know this is just the beginning of a future filled with impact and greatness. You are a true force — and we love you endlessly!

And with huge applause, we also celebrate Caleb from Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida, who will be advancing to represent the state as our 2025 Florida Youth of the Year! We’re cheering you on every step of the way!

Here’s to bold dreams, unstoppable youth, and the amazing journey ahead for all our incredible Club leaders!

Still buzzing from our unforgettable visit to Jones Potato Farm, Inc. ✨

Our Youth Council teens were welcomed with wide-open arms and even wider hearts - special thanks to the incredible Alan and Leslie Jones, who made us feel like family from the very first moment.

From soil to soul, the day was packed with hands-on learning in sustainable farming, meaningful conversations, and yes... bags and bags of freshly picked potatoes. 🥔

But more than that, our Club members walked away with inspiration for their own community garden - a growing effort to tackle food insecurity from the ground up. 🪴💙

Endless gratitude to Leslie, Alan, and whole Jones Potato Farm crew for sharing your wisdom, your warmth, and a vision of what true community looks like.

Let's keep growing - together. 🫶

From designing butterflies 🦋and experimenting with marble painting 🖌️ to building 3D parade floats and tackling Mardi Gras memory games, members embraced creativity while building teamwork and critical thinking skills. They also celebrated Read Across America 📚with Storytime, wrote poems about their favorite things, and discovered inspiring women in history along the way.
