𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗢𝗙 𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗔 𝗠𝗨𝗝𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗦

I’ve been meaning to share our experience at Atelier Playa Mujeres since we returned in November 2024. We spent six nights in an INSPIRA Rooftop Suite and added a bonus night at Canopy by Hilton La Isla Cancun before heading to Atelier. Long story short—𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲.

Atelier had big shoes to fill with all the hype surrounding it, and I’m happy to report it didn’t disappoint. From the spot-on service to the sleek design, the standout cocktails to the mostly delicious food, it hit so many high notes. Of course, no resort is without its flaws, but Atelier definitely earned a top spot for me.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘀. One of the most memorable aspects of the trip was the exceptional mixology throughout the resort. Every bar brought its A-game with creative, expertly crafted cocktails that felt more like works of art than just drinks. But the standout? Bar de la Calle. The mixologists here are nothing short of geniuses, elevating each cocktail into an experience. Watching them work their magic every night was a highlight all on its own. If you visit, make it a nightly ritual—you won’t regret it.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲. I can’t rave about the staff enough. They were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make our stay special. It felt like they genuinely cared about every guest having the best experience possible.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱. I came in with high expectations, and for the most part, the food delivered. There were a few dishes that missed the mark, but overall, the quality and variety were excellent. The presentation was beautiful, and the Banana Explosion Waffles at El Suspiro were hands-down the best thing I ate all week.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁. Call me a sucker for details, but the resort’s signature scent was such a nice touch. From the lobby to the suites, everything smelled fresh and luxurious—it’s one of those little things that really elevates the experience.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗢𝗧:

𝗔 𝗻𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆. While there’s plenty of fun to be had—like swim-up bars and the late-night scene at El Deseo—this isn’t a rowdy, spring-break kind of place. The silent disco, though? Easily the best I’ve experienced at any resort. If you’re looking for balance, this is your spot.

𝗔 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘆. Atelier isn’t overwhelmingly large, but the layout isn’t the most intuitive thanks to its past as two separate sections (family and adults-only). Could it use better signage? Sure. Did we get turned around a few times? Yep. But it wasn’t a dealbreaker.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱. Popular resorts often get a reputation for being overhyped, but Atelier earns its accolades. Between the thoughtful design, exceptional service, and overall vibe, it’s a standout resort that exceeded my expectations.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:
Atelier Playa Mujeres has easily become one of my favorite resorts. It’s the perfect blend of luxury, fun, and relaxation, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. If you’ve been on the fence, take this as your sign—it’s worth it.
