Jean Kuecher is a master puppeteer with over fifty years of experience performing puppet shows and educational entertainment for children. She began her career as a young child when she got her first marionettes as a present and began offering shows for parties and special occasions. She continued to pursue her passion for sharing arts with children throughout her university education focusing on
the same. Having been a teacher herself, she is a revered educator and resource for those learning to educate through puppetry. She has studied puppetry around the world and had opportunity to learn from shadow puppet and traditional puppet masters in Indonesia, Bali, the middle east and europe. She has also served as president of the Houston Puppetry Guild and is active in the Midwest and National Puppetry Guilds. She offers a variety of puppetry experiences from marionette shows of ancient fairy tales such as Rumpelstilskin and Aladdin's Lamp to creative puppet making and story workshops for children and adults. Her educational Science blacklight show for schools focuses on science curriculum topics relevant to children such as the life cycle of a plant and roles of animals in ecosystems. Her famous 'Twas the Night Before Christmas show delights thousands of children and adults every holiday season. She also offers shows for churches such as a Nativity blacklight and Queen Esther marionette show. Jean Kuecher now serves the Chicagoland, northwest Indiana and southern Michigan areas bringing the ancient art of puppetry to your next special occasion or party or school event.
