Mount Rainier National Park is pure magic. If you're planning a visit this summer, here's what you need to know about the park's new Timed Entry Reservation System:

🌲 Reservations are required from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily May 24-Sept. 2 for the Paradise Corridor and July 4-Sept. 2 for the Sunrise Corridor. (See exceptions below)
🌲 Reservations are for a designated two-hour entry slot and must be booked for the specific corridor that aligns with your plans.
🌲 A portion of timed entry reservations will be released in batches 90 days in advance, with another portion released at 7 p.m. the night before for next-day travel.
🌲 A reservation covers one personal or rental vehicle and is in addition to the park entrance fee or park pass.
🌲 Timed entry reservations are only available through Recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.

Exceptions for reservations include:
🌲 Visitors with in-park lodging reservations at the Paradise Inn, National Park Inn, or Cougar Rock Campground can enter the park after 1 p.m. on the first day of their reservation and throughout their stay.
🌲 Visitors traveling on foot or by bike.
🌲 Visitors with climbing permits, wilderness permits, or any other special-use permit.
🌲 Visitors entering the park before 7 a.m. or after 3 p.m.
🌲 Visitors entering the park with a tour.

As a Reservationist, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, assisting them with booking a variety of tours while they are in Seattle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling inbound calls on a multi-line phone system, answering emails, and online inquiries from customers interested in our bus tours.
- Providing personalized recommendations and guidance to customers based on their preferences and budget.
- Processing reservations accurately and efficiently using our booking system.
- Assisting customers with any inquiries or concerns before, during, and after their trip.
- Collaborating with other team members and Tour Guides to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer satisfaction.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Possess integrity and good phone etiquette.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.

Thelephora terrestris may look like a shelf fungus (polypore) from above, but its fans are soft and flexible and the underside is leathery and smooth. Commonly called Earthfan, it is ectomycorrhizal, which is to say that it forms a symbiotic relationship with the roots of certain plants, in this case those of conifer species. It is often considered a "w**d" in greenhouses and conifer plantations because of its abundance, but in fact it is an important part of the carbon cycle in the forest.
