These are some of the best sunset views in all of Sedona… just make sure you hike prepared! 1 / Bring at least 2 liters of water for every two hours of hiking. 2 / Pack out what you pack in and leave no trace! 3 / Bring a map or preload a digital map on your phone so you can stay on track. 4 / Bring snacks!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE HIKING WEST FORK TRAIL IN SEDONA:
1 / The parking lots fills up fast, so get there no later than 7AM. There’s a $12 fee at the front gate.
2 / Your feet will definitely get wet, so bring water shoes! or, just get your hiking boots wet and let them dry in the sun the next day — that’s what I did!
3 / The person at the front gate says the trail is only 3.2 miles one way, but if you want to see the really cool parts… plan for 10 miles total.
4 / This is the perfect summer hike because the canyon is usually about 15 degrees cooler than everywhere else.
