Even some locals dare to mention certain names in fear of being snatched in the night. Come join us for an exciting, historic and VERY SPOOKY walking tour through downtown Seguin. This tour promises to make you want t

o sleep with your lights on and think twice about walking pass some of the more haunted buildings in Seguin. Tours begin at 7:00 p.m. and meet at 6:45 p.m. in front of the Magnolia Hotel (203 South Crockett, Seguin, Texas). Please be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes because it is a WALKING tour. You will be walking and standing for most of the 90 minutes but we will take breaks. We must have a minimum of 4 guests to take a tour and with pre-purchased tickets. Tours begin promptly at 7. Sorry, there are no refunds for ANY reason. Seguin Walking Ghost Tours is not responsible for damaged property, injury, or lost of items. We are not responsible for falls, trips, animal bites, injuries, or anything natural or unnatural to happen. You will be required to sign a waiver before beginning your tour. In the event of an emergency, tours my be cancelled at the discretion of the owners. We will be happy to reschedule.

By far our most incredible capture by an overnight guest so far!!! The actual woman turning to the left (her right) has a round chin, soft eyebrows, wearing her hair pulled back and BANGS. The other woman's face has a chiseled appearance, thick eyebrows, Victorian style hairdo and NO bangs.

This is a picture we captured a while back of a quick photo sequence of our cat “D” in the ballroom. There was no one else in the room but me and “D.” You can even see that she is looking at me in the first one, then looking down at the mist. I didn't notice it until I looked at the picture but she definitely saw it! Back then we wondered what the black mist was in the second picture. WE NO LONGER WONDER! A few months ago, my Jim walked past the doorway leading to the ballroom. A quick movement caught his eye’s attention. What he saw was an incredible manifestation of a small spinning wiry black mist. Its energy even made the bird cage swing. It quickly dashed across the room and vanished. After he told me about it, I’ve been hoping to see it for myself. Well…today I got to see this mist firsthand!! As my cat, Stormie and I were walking towards the lobby by way of the gift shop, it passed right in front of us and into the ballroom. I raced to see what it was and it too vanished. Stormie wasn’t afraid but she did FREEZE in her spot. Of course, I was not afraid, simply curious. It is growing more comfortable around us. It did not bring forward a scent of any kind and I’m not sure who or what this misty spirit was. Can’t wait to see it again and find out!

UPDATE THEY ARE SURE SELLING OUT FAST! The shirts will be available at the new store across the street from us called The Gathering Place : Seguin, TX on Thursday. We are already out of the 4X’s. I only have 2 XL’s left.

We’ve decided to just have pink crew neck t-shirts available for women. So all of our black V-necks are half off!! That’s right! They are just $10 plus tax. Think Christmas!!! These will no longer be available with our logo so get them while the last. When they are gone they are gone!!

On our last tour, I met the most delightful young lady. The moment I greeted her, I knew she was blessed with a gentle heart. Her serene energy was so pleasing to be near. During the entire two hour plus tour, she was followed and softly touched by two of our spirits. It was as though they wanted to get more acquainted with her. She wore numerous colorful handmade friendship bracelets and the sweetest smile. I would later learn she had given some away to other guests as an act of kindness. Her eyes were a window to her soul for they were the gentlest I have seen in a long time. No wonder our spirits enjoyed her company. Even in the afterlife, spirits know good souls when they meet one. Her parents and siblings were just as wonderful. At one point her mother’s spirit guide came forward just to express his pride in her. I could feel the love for his descendant who was a Military Veteran. I was actually disappointed that I may never meet them again when they left. This is why I love giving tours of our home, the Magnolia Hotel. I have met so many amazing people along the way. Many of our previous guests are now dear friends of mine. Our spirits were all excellent people during their time on earth (except of course for Mr. Deavors). Their circle of friends were just as respectable. I believe our permanent residents quietly and unbeknownst to our guests draw them in so that they can continue to interact with fine people. And an answer to the young girl’s question before she left………it was "Sarah and Idella" the whole time. Thank you for allowing me to meet you and your family. Erin

As I sit here in front of my computer writing my next book, I suddenly remembered the day that changed my life. It is the day I met the woman with blue eyes. I thought I'd share an excerpt from my book "Mysteries of the Magnolia Hotel" about her.

"While rummaging through the stack of files, one of the library volunteers approached me. She asked if I was the woman writing a book on ghost hauntings in New Braunfels. First thought was “Wow, news sure travels fast in small towns.” Instinctively my first thought was this might be a skeptic so while mentally preparing to defend myself I said “yes I am.” Then she said “Oh how fascinating! I absolutely love ghost stories! Have you considered doing a story on the Comal Town Traveling ghost? I have always wondered who she was.”
Relieved she was a believer (better yet one offering a lead on a story), I told her this was one I had not heard of. She became so giddy after my response she practically dropped the books she was holding. Without even an invitation to do so, she swiftly grabbed an empty chair to sit beside me. After adjusting her chair the woman slowly turned and looked me straight in the eyes. I couldn’t help but notice how gentle looking her eyes were. They were bluer than blue with a deep sense of kindness. My mom always said “A person’s eyes are the windows to their soul. Always follow your intuition by what you sense.” Remembering her words, I suddenly felt comfortable sitting next to a nameless stranger about to share a ghost story. No sooner than she began to speak, a funny thing happened. Everything around us became quite and near silent. It felt as if she and I were suddenly the only ones in the entire building. With each word she spoke I became more engrossed in her story. Looking back now this mysterious woman (whose name I never did acquire) was to change the course of mine and Jim’s lives forever."

It is official!

We are now offering guided history/mystery tours of our private residential museum on the bottom floor. These tours are only available to our overnight Monday-Thursday BnB guests. Once you have booked a room, you are offered either a 30-minute bottom floor only tour or a 1-hour bottom and second floor tour for an additional fee. Tours are given on the day of arrival between 1:30-2:30 sharp. Each tour is given by our full-time permanent staff member, Shauna. She is the most delightful person you will ever meet. We have grown to love her, and we know you will too! You will also have access to the hotel's private gift shop. Come discover the hotel’s amazing past before you begin your overnight stay!
