Bear last Thursday, crawled under the porch and then back out again, and then happily played in the yard for a bit before munching on something. I think he must have found a treat under the cabin steps.

Today's gorgeous view from the back porch...

I had my second ever in-person bear sighting today, about 6 miles from the cabin. It ran in front of the car in front of me and then scrambled under the guard rail. I think / *hope* he made it past the car unscathed.

Thanks for checking out the FB page for our cabin in the Smokies! Kevin and I purchased it in December 2023 and have been renting it out ever since on Airbnb and VRBO, but booking direct on our website saves YOU and US the fees those platforms charge. The cabin has 3 bedrooms (legit ones - with doors - no loft bedrooms), 2 bathrooms, and sleeps 6. Most importantly, though, is that killer view you get as soon as you arrive at the cabin, and is visible indoors from the living room and kitchen and outdoors from the back porch.

We'll keep this page updated with our bear sightings and photos of the view every time we stop out.

One more thing - I know it's last minute, but if you're looking to get away THIS WEEK - we have the nights of June 2 through June 8 available, and currently at a 15% discount.
