Stopped into J. Mattingly Distillery today. I didn’t get a chance to connect with the folks there, but I do appreciate their bottling. It is located right across the road from Buffalo Trace and just a half hour away from The Back 40.

I keep wanting to visit Whiskey Thief Distilling Co. while I’m at The Back 40, but I never quite make it there. It’s only 17 miles away! I think my priorities might be messed up.

Hold me to it, I’ll stop in this November and report back. If any of y’all have been there, let me know what you think.

We are about to wrap up our first, full month at The Back 40. By all accounts, it's been a success! We can't thank Beth & Shaun York and Steve Jeffries enough for keeping the operation running.
