While working as a local delivery driver, he used his time spent on the roads and byways of Madison County to capture a series of striking photographs of landscapes, animals and artifacts.

Through his pictures, he portrays the breathtaking beauty of the region in every season. While predominantly self-taught, he cherishes the invaluable guidance received from influential figures, notably his mother—an avid amateur photographer.

Sedman House
A focal point among NC buildings, this charming home originally stood at Junction City, a mile and a half north of Nevada City, where it was built in 1873 as the fine “intown” residence of rancher, gold miner, and legislator Oscar Sedman. Later the junction Hotel and then a stable, it was moved by the Boveys to “Old Town” (see February 7, 2024 post this page) and back to Nevada City.
