How can I see the Pony Express Re-ride in person?

As the riders make their way from St. Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California, there are scheduled exchanges where the riders will hand off the mochila and a new rider will continue the delivery. The ride takes place 24 hours a day so some of these happen in the middle of the night!

Though the schedule is subject to change, here are the some of the places that you can watch an exchange or see the riders ride by (during daylight hours!): go.nps.gov/ReRideSchedule

🎉⭐️ We're not sure if you've heard but we are a stop on this year's Nebraska Passport Program and we're SO EXCITED! ⭐️🎉

It officially begins tomorrow, but our first day will of course be Thursday, May 2nd! If you don't know what this program is I'll give you a quick rundown-

Every year, 70 businesses/attractions across the state of Nebraska are chosen to be official "stops" on a tour across this beautiful state! The purpose of the Nebraska Passport is to help travelers discover Nebraska’s hidden gems. The Nebraska Passport is special because it offers a wide variety of travel adventures, including museums, parks, restaurants, wineries, retail stores and more. The program runs from May 1st- September 30th. This year is even more special though! There are 15 bonus stops in addition to the regular stops because it is the 15 year anniversary!

The purpose of the Nebraska Passport is to help travelers discover Nebraska’s hidden gems. The Nebraska Passport is special because it offers a wide variety of travel adventures, including coffee shops☕, museums🕍, parks🎠, restaurants🏪, wineries🍷, retail stores🛍 and more. The 2024 Nebraska Passport program will run from May 1 to September 30, 2024. Since this year is the 15 year anniversary, there will be a bonus 15 more stops added to the program!
