All hot air balloon flights are canceled for this morning (Sunday) due to wind speeds that will create dangerous conditions for balloon flights.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but feel very fortunate that the weather worked out for the majority of our festival!

If you are looking for something fun and unique to do while you're in town for the Hot Air Balloon Festival this morning and looking for something fun to do then look no more! At 10am stop by the Sikeston Public Library and learn about rodeo events, the significance of cowboy attire, the origins of rodeo, and the Jaycee's exciting mutton bustin' competition. The Library is located at 121 E North St in Historic Downtown Sikeston! If you'd like to read more about the Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo be sure to check out sikestonrodeo.com for one of the BIGGEST charitable events that draws crowds from almost every state!

Get ready to search the skies! Preparations have begun for a flight over Sikeston!

Balloons are launching from multiple points in town, all plan to land at the rodeo grounds. You can head there to watch, but PLEASE leave an open area for landing and only park in the area nearest the building that says "home of the Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo" or near the ticket office!
