Our Story

The Sikeston Convention and Visitors Bureau invites you to experience the best of Missouri's Bountiful Bootheel where cotton is king, our rolls are "throwed", and southern hospitality awaits you! Whether you're passing through or visiting for a few days, we have something for everyone to enjoy in Sikeston - so much more than you imagine! You'll take home great memories from our Historic Downtown District, the Sikeston Depot Museum, Lambert's Cafe and many other attractions. Our diverse shopping venues include local boutiques, outlet malls, specialty shops and antique galleries. Enjoy great events including Cotton Carnival, Wine Festival, St. Patrick’s Day Festival, Christmas Parade, and many more. There are fun events and activities for the whole family including fishing lakes, walking/bike trails, movie theatres, bowling, racing, pumpkin patch and corn mazes, and numerous beautiful parks and playgrounds. The PRCA-sanctioned Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo is held every August or come celebrate King Cotton with us in September!
