Want to enjoy one last warm-weather weekend with your crew on the North Shore this year? We just had a cancellation for the weekend of Sept. 14-16 -- a prime weekend when the bugs are gone, the weather is still warm, and the leaves are starting to turn. It has been a WILD 48 hours at the Lodge. The Baptism River crested at 19+ feet after 8 in. of rain Tuesday night. Our driveway completely washed out at the bridge, leaving guests stranded but safe and able to walk out once the river subsided. Their comment when we met up with them: "If we're going to be stranded somewhere, this is exactly where we'd want to be!" Grateful for their patience and for the amazing Leah Krynski, who was right there to help as we started organizing repairs. We do not expect this to affect our summer rentals, thankfully. We snuck in a few days at the Lodge ourselves this past week to do mid-summer maintenance and ensure the Lodge is fresh, ready, and well-stocked for the rest of our summer guests. It was a delightful few days, and we are so happy to be able to share this magical place with our guests all year round!
