If you’re looking for a French city escape but you’d rather skip the crowds of Paris, then Bordeaux makes for a perfect alternative. It’s much more low-key and has a slower pace. It’s just as walkable as Paris, and your wanderings will take you to some of the best food and wine to be had in all of France. It’s easy to access from London, Barcelona, and other European cities, or it makes for a nice addition to a tour of France. Have you been to Bordeaux yet?

Can we talk about how hard it is to narrow down a honeymoon destination?
Especially in times like these!
Here’s what I suggest:
1. Choose your personal adventure!
Find the destination you'll both enjoy. Try not to choose a place where your brother had just taken his honeymoon six months ago. This is your honeymoon after all!
2. Plan ahead. Wondering when to start thinking about booking your honeymoon? The ideal timeframe is six to eight months prior to your travel dates.
3. A budget? Your best friend. Narrow down your options, set your budget and look at the best possibilities for the best trips that fit within it.

Want to get away to a sun and sand destination? Think of Puerto Rico. It's a unique travel opportunity to experience the Caribbean atmosphere without the hassle of having to meet the CDC’s new international travel requirement!
Starting Tuesday, inbound international U.S. travelers will need to have proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days prior to re-entry. But given that Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, it is excluded from the CDC requirement and Americans do not need to provide a negative COVID-19 test result to return back to the mainland United States. Trips to and from Puerto Rico are considered domestic travel.
However, the CDC still recommends getting tested three to five days after returning back and staying home for seven days post-travel.
Puerto Rico has the feel of an international destination, with the safety and comfort that comes with domestic travel.
San Juan, Puerto Rico for example? Wander down historic streets lined with colorful Spanish colonial buildings, take in the stretches of breathtaking beaches, and eat your way through the local restaurants.

On the surface, Hawaii is a sea of islands filled with beaches, waterfalls and lush rainforests, but dig a little deeper and you’ll find six distinct places with their own unique personalities.
I always say that you can’t go wrong with Hawaii, it’s a virtual paradise for one thing, but there are so many different things to see and do on each island, there really is something for every type of traveller.
Beach lovers will find powdery sand in different shapes, sizes and colors for days. Adventure-seekers can easily get lost in the beautiful waterfalls, volcanoes and lush forests. For those of you who want tranquility and rejuvenation, yoga and meditation retreats and spas and little hideaways are peppered all over the islands too.

I know those waves are not looking so big but they were big enough for us! On a surfboard in the DR!
I love the wacky conversations I have with the grandkids and chats with my best girlfriends over coffee or wine on the weekends. Travel talk just comes up! We can't help it.
When and where we’ll travel next and our first post-COVID trip is a topic that keeps coming up.
We’ve been talking about a big family trip to the Caribbean this summer. Also not surprising, everyone is getting impatient.
I know, me too! I had to remind everyone that it’s okay to keep dreaming until it's time to travel again. As hard as these times are with traveling these days, it will make future trips all the more sweeter!
And that’s my reminder to you today too.

Yes, I’ve been getting questions about the recent guidelines on COVID testing and re-entry from international travel.
I break down some of the most frequent questions below;

Q: Is my resort providing COVID testing on-site?
A: Many resorts are offering testing on-site, check with me and I can let you know
Q: What if my resort isn’t offering testing on-site?
A: If your resort isn’t offering testing on site, there’s a very good chance they can make arrangements to have a certified clinic come in and perform a test for you. Let's find out!
Q: Will I get my test back in time?
A: In most cases, tests are promised back within 72 hours to ensure you can meet the requirements when you check in for your flight home.
Q: What if my test comes back positive?
A: As was the case before, if you test positive for COVID-19 you will not be allowed to board the plane back into the country.
Q: Will my travel insurance cover me if my test is positive?
A: This depends on the coverage you have. Let’s chat to go over the terms and conditions of your policy.

It probably comes as no surprise to you that I absolutely love to travel and travel is my favorite pastime.
When I land in a destination the first thing I do is grab a rum punch, head to the beach and start researching places to eat and drink near my hotel.
What do you do to turn vacation mode on?
