So we tested the honesty of the Spaniards twice.... Apparently we are a bit out of practice on public transport after being in USA for awhile, and then going abroad again.

3 weeks ago Shawna Roehl left her cell phone on the subway late at night in Madrid, Spain. Next day we got a call someone had found it; she had to jump through some hoops to figure it out as we did not have European sim cards yet and she was unable to call USA numbers. She managed to get a friend of hers in Texas to call Shawna's mom to get my number, and then get us in touch with lady who found it. She refused any reward, saying she just wanted the good karma. She agreed to let us take her and a guest to any restaurant they wanted as we insisted, but then ghosted us. Thank you kind lady!

Fast forward 3 weeks and my du***ss leaves a backpack with my laptop on a bus in Barcelona. A couple emails and phone calls, and we got it back from the bus company less than 24 hours later on Christmas Day. Thank you kind citizens of Barcelona!

I sure hope we avoid testing this honesty thing any further!

Would you eat this roasted suckling pig??? Very popular in Spain. We plan to eat one at the worlds oldest restaurant who's fire oven has been burning constantly since the mid 1700's. Restaurante Botin is in the book of world records and the oldest continuously running restaurant in the world. Had to get our reservations a week in advance. I can't wait.

Expedia.com ripped me off!! The sold me a 5 day hotel booking to a hotel that was closed and out of business. They say they can't refund me because they can't get in contact with the hotel. Of course they can't because the hotel does not exist. They are still selling the hotel on their website knowing full well it is closed and will refuse any refunds. Of course there will be a credit card dispute. FRAUD!!

Anyone want to go to Florida this month for cheaper than you ever thought possible?

We are finding incredible deals that are beating the major travel websites by hundreds of dollars.

We found an amazing deal on a 4 bedroom/4 bath condo booked for Oct 16 - Oct 30th in Davenport, FL (30 miles from Orlando).
This is a 4 star resort condo with onsite pool, water slides, lazy river, bar/restaurant, and close to lots of stuff. Condo has full kitchen/dining/living area.

We only need 1 bedroom/1 bath, so we are interested in offsetting some of the cost by sharing the other rooms as the condo accommodates up to 10 people.

Partial dates are fine as we have a washer/dryer to wash bedding between guests if someone only wants to stay a few days.

We are asking $40 per room per night (2-3 people per room means your stay is as budget friendly as anyone could ask for at $14-$20 per night/per person).
